Georgina and Tony will talk for the first 30 min, and the next 30 min will be audience Q&A.
Tony Abbott’s new book highlights the achievements of Australia and reasons for national pride, while still acknowledging mistakes. It traces major arcs of Australian history — from Indigenous cultures and colonial settlement, through migration and nation-building, to modern democracy — helping us connect events over time in a single book written in an easy, engaging and immensely readable way.
Join Georgina in testing if we are allowed to be proud of Australia’s history. Does the good outweigh the bad? Or is weighing the good vs bad simply the wrong lens from which to examine our history.
Copies of Australia: A History are available for purchase via BookTopia. Follow THIS LINK to buy your copy. Tony Abbott will be available to sign books for attendees who bring a copy with them.
