Back Page [/] Balgowlah, 20 / 12 / 57 Dear Bob, All at our home trust that Dame Pattie, you, and all your family are fit and well and that you will enjoy a restful break. We know you will be happy with this book “Jesus of Nazareth” which tells the greatest story as we love to hear it. Thankful to repeat [indecipherable] 100% Connie is still in charge. My mother is 79 on Boxing Day and planning to again visit N.Z. this time in 1960 when she is to attend the centenary celebrations of her “home town” Point Chevalier, now a suburb of Auckland. Caroline, with whom you shared your ‘Coca Cola’, has done well at the Kindergarten Union’s Training College and, having completed her first year [p.t.o] will be glad to answer your questions regarding your grandchildren of kindergarten age! Richard the younger has progressed at Woolworths where he completed the Executive Trainee Course well ahead of time. Just now he is Assistant Manager at the [indecipherable] Branch, Grange St. Sydney, and in a few weeks will be Acting Manager. Woolworth’s certainly bring on [indecipherable] young men and fancy a young fellow of 22 running a branch employing 135 people. As for me my detached retina is replaced after an altercation and I am back to normal living reduced from 16-10 to 13-4 by a not uncomfortable unit. We thank God for all his goodness. We all hope to see you and Dame Pattie early in 1958. Your friend, Richard T.”
